“Solar Makes Gainesville Green” is a blog for Solar Professionals in Gainesville, Florida. It is a place for us to keep you informed on what is happening in our area. 2009 is going to go down in the history books as the year that the people really started to make a difference in solar. The City of Gainesville started the nations first Feed-in-Tariff (FIT) program. This program has found great success in Germany over the years and it led them to become one of the fastest growing solar nations in the world. Our goal in Gainesville is to follow the same accelerated growth as Germany’s solar installations and to prove to the rest of the nation that solar works, the FIT Program works, and together we can change the world.
